Behind The Music

Ey Up!
That probably gives away where I’m from, doesn’t it?
I’ve written songs about all sorts—some you’d expect, like a classic love ballad… and others you definitely wouldn’t (like the one about the Tour de France... which no one will ever hear, by the way).
It’s safe to say music and I go way back. I’ve been in and around church all my life, and occasionally I dabbled in writing songs about God and church. But with no real relationship with God, my heart just wasn’t in it.
That all changed when I realised the work of the Cross had truly redeemed all the mistakes I’d made. What used to be routine churchgoing became something deeper—a real relationship was born.
Since then, the songs I write have changed too. (I can officially wave goodbye to the Tour de France tracks.)
There’s something sacred about creating music with the One who created it all. It’s not just expression anymore—it’s worship. And honestly, there’s nothing quite like it.
I feel incredibly grateful to be in a position where I get to share these songs. I hope you enjoy them—and more than that, I hope you come to see that the One I’m singing about is truly alive.
